Improving the quality of seniors’ life
ICNA Seniors is an initiative of ICNA to serve seniors (55+ older adults); it will engage, empower and encourage them to be as self-reliant as possible, improve their overall quality of life and promote active aging.
This program will focus on three objectives
1-Empowering them with knowledge (Learning sessions) about their safety, health and social issues.
2- Getting regular exercises (Fitness sessions) specially designed to address aging issues like flexibility, mobility, balancing and mind-body synchronization.
3-Socialization indoors and outdoors, networking and doing community projects, Excursions and picnics etc.
To achieve these objectives, the following activities will be managed and implemented by seniors, all as volunteers, with external trainers and speakers.
1-Seniors Exercise sessions 4-5 times a week (Zoom/hybrid) (Active aging)
2-Excursion & Outdoor. (Social isolation reduction)
3-Learning sessions (Zoom/hybrid) (Empowering)
These programs will be available nationwide through its centers at Thorncliffe, Edmonton and Calgary.
